Long-handled filberts in Mangosta synthetic, made for working at an easel. The 11 inch handle is not a styling choice: it puts your hand far enough back from the surface that you paint from the shoulder and can see the whole canvas while you work. Short handles pull you in close, which is why easel painters and muralists use these.

Mangosta filament imitates mongoose hair — stiffer than a watercolour synthetic, with the snap needed to move heavy-body acrylic and oil, and the rounded filbert tip that leaves a soft edge instead of a square one.
