Artist brushes made under your own brand
Stationerie manufactures artist brushes on an OEM and private-label basis for brands, retailers, distributors and institutions. You bring the specification and the label; the brushes are built in our Kolkata workshop, where more than 60 artisan brushmakers produce around five lakh brushes a month.
What you specify
- Hair and filament — Kolinsky-type synthetic, squirrel-type synthetic on German filament, Chungking hog bristle, white goat, or a blend built to your brief.
- Shape and size — round, liner, rigger, flat, filbert, angular, blender, fan, mop, wash, hake, petal, calligraphy and stencil, across the full size range.
- Handle — short or long, in your choice of colour and finish.
- Branding — your brand name and your own size or SKU marking on the handle.
- Packaging — singles, wallets, rolls or boxed sets, built around your range structure.
Why manufacture here
The brushmaking trade sits in a narrow band of places: a handful of European workshops at the top, and high-volume factories at the other end. Kolkata sits in between and, done properly, gets the best of both — the same hand-dressed craft as Europe with a better finish than mass-produced imports, at a cost base that lets a brand price competitively.
The workshop is our own. That means specifications are held by the people making the brush, samples come back quickly, and a range can be adjusted between runs rather than being frozen by a distant supplier.
