Artist spray paint is not hardware-store spray. The pigment load is higher, the valve system is built for control rather than coverage speed, and caps are interchangeable so the same can gives a hairline or a wide fade. Acrylic-based sprays stay flexible and are safe over most primed surfaces; solvent-based sprays bite harder and dry faster outdoors. Ventilation and a mask are not optional with either.
