Princeton builds different synthetic filaments for different jobs rather than one fibre across the range. Aqua Elite is engineered to mimic kolinsky snap and point recovery for watercolour. Neptune uses a thirstier filament that holds water like squirrel. Velvetouch blends fibres for multi-media work, and Heritage is the firmer synthetic sable for controlled line.

Which one you need

Snap and water-holding pull in opposite directions. A brush that springs back to a sharp point does not hold much water; one that holds a huge wash will not give you a crisp line. Pick by what you paint most: rounds for general work, liners and riggers for sustained thin lines, and the softer thirsty filaments for wet-in-wet washes.
