Posca is a water-based pigment paint marker, not an ink marker, and that is the whole point: the colour is opaque, so it covers dark and coloured surfaces, and it sits on non-porous materials that normal markers slide off.

What it works on

Paper, canvas, wood, glass, ceramic, metal, fabric, plastic and stone. It dries water-resistant, layers without bleeding, and can be worked back into while wet.
